Replace TrackPoint Cap

I cant find any instructions how to do this. Mine is all worn out and I need to put a new one in.

You just pull it off and push the new one down.

I think Thinpads are very user friendly for repair, but that has got to be the easiest repair going, right? I got two brand new IBM trackpoint caps on ebay for $2, nice bright red :D

Just to make sure I do it right, grab the track point with plyers/tweezers and pull straight up. Then just press the new one in place? Sounds simple, which means Im gonna screw something up.

I wouldn't use tweezers or pliers - you'll break the trackpoint itself out. Just grab the rubbery cap with your fingers and slide it off.
