How do i get the orange flashing battery to turn green?
My first charge, i charged it up the whole night, but it keeps on flashing orange?? Right now, I'm draining the battery on safe mode, it's been running for the past hour and a half, but it's still flashing orange
Why won't the battery light stay green?

Firstly, which ThinkPad do you have?
Secondly, does your TP have a factory or manual installation?
Thirdly, has it started doing this all of a sudden (i.e. it didn't do it before), or is the TP new for you?

hy, i just bougt a battery from them and i have a similar problem
when the battery is fully charged it starts flashing orange and it doesn't charge anymore even if it discharges under 95%
actually it doesn't recognise the charger anymore until i remove the battery while the AC adaptor is plugged and put it back in.then it gets green and acts normally...

2)what do u mean by factory or manual installation?
3)This is a 'brand new' battery from BATTERYREFILL.com (my first charge, battery flashes orange all the way through)
the battery has be discharging for the past 2 hrs and has been flashing orange ever since???? why?
with my original battery from IBM, the light stays green when
charging, and when there's onlyl 5% battery left, it then starts flashing orange, but this NEW batteryrefill battery starts flashing orang when charging??

It probably has to do with the electronics in the battery. I don't know the company, but have visited their site and found that the FAQs do have some good information regarding what you are experiencing.

I bought a couple aftermarket batteries that did the flashing orange light deal. Odds are the battery is not going to work with your computer. I figured it was something in the SMART battery circuitry. The cells were good, but the circuit that communicates with the Thinkpad was not right.
I have a BatteryRefill replacement for my T30, it looks pretty good and works well. It lasts nearly as long as a factory Lenovo replacement at about 1/3 the price. Ray posted some photos of a job they did that looked pretty "Frankensteinish", but the one I got you could barely tell it was operated on. I've been meaning to post some pics, but I'm on the road and haven't got around to it.
