flashing screen on T30

I have a T30 that seems to flash the screen .what Im seeing is the screen changeing brightness very fast it seems to happen more when I move the mouse. antone seen this before? is it the inverter going bad on the lcd?thx

Welcome to the thinkpads forums.
Download the PC Doctor utility from the IBM/Lenovo website for your TP30. Available in .iso for burning a CD.

Run that to see what is wrong.
