T22 with scratchy sound while playing music

I have a T22 that has a scratchy sound comming out of the speakers. I want to say it sounds like a short to the speakers. However it also has the same problem with headphones. I recently changed the system board because of other issues (overheating) and this problem was there before and still persists. ANyone have any ideas? Is there a separate daughter board or something like that could be causing this? ANy help would be greatly appreciated.
