ThinkAdvantage wireless network connection icon not working

#1 Post by darkdragoon » Wed Jul 11, 2007 7:22 pm

Hi, does anyone know how to enable the ThinkAdvantage Wireless Network Connection icon on the task tray.

I check the global setting notification the "show wireless status icon on task tray" its gray out on me with a check on the box next to it. I'm using a Boardcom wireless g network card with the latest version of ThinkAdvantage Access Connection.

Thanks!

Could you give more information on which computer is having this problem and what type is the wireless card, is it mini-pci or pcmcia? Access connections may not work well if pcmcia cards. I have gotten it to work in the past on my T21, but not without some problems. It seems to work well with mini-pci network cards. Make sure you have th latest drivers for you network card and try using Access connections again. Note that it may simply not work with the wireless card you a re trying to use.

Sorry for not giving any info out here.
Its an IBM T30
236681H
Wireless-G PCI Adapter from Boardcom mode "BCM 4306" I think.

The driver that I was using was the from XP system32 drivers.

I did a search on the net and there is actually 3 drivers and I have no clue which one to be used.
