T30 screen/cover latch out of alignment

The left-hand cover/lid latch on my T30 has somehow popped out of alignment overnight. The plastic part/ lining, just inside the cover that runs around the edge of the screen has come a bit loose on the left side around the latch area and the latch is broken, more or less. I can still open and close the lid but t's more difficult. How do I repair this? It's a problem with the case, not with any of the system parts, so I'm thinking there must be a simple way to do it.

Download the T30 Hardware Maintenance Manual.
Check in there how to remove the bezel around the screen, so that you can replace the latch.
If you are careful you don't need to remove more than the bezel-edge along the top of the screen and along both sides, to access that latch.
(Bend the bezel back gently once top and sides are free).
