Stupid RnR CD question...

#1 Post by ptantra » Fri Aug 03, 2007 1:39 am

I've been using my T23 fairly regularly for the last 5 years. It's gotten to the point where I think I'd like to reinstall the OS. I've hit F11 during the boot and made a recovery diskette. Where do I go to make a backup recovery CD? Will the recovery CD reinstall the OS (XP) and all the apps that were installed the very first time I booted this laptop?

Did I just miss the option to create the backup CD in the F11 menu? Was there a set of CDs I should've saved in the original box? I'm still on the original harddrive so I have the rescue partition.

Sorry for the cluelessness...

T23s were among the first TPs to have the hidden partition and no recovery cds, it was also not possible to create recovery cds. The diskette you have created is to repair the F11 function, should it stop working.
To recover a T23 you press F11 and choose the option to recover the OS.
