T30 update(s) question

Guys, there are a couple of outstanding updates for the T30. I have not done anything with them as I am not clear what they do. First one is here:

There was a 2nd update, which I can't find now, that analyzed the hard drive and determined whether a firmware upgrade was apporpriate or not. IIRC, you created a bootable CD (.iso file).

Any thoughts on these? Best to leave well enough alone?

Also, Software Installer (on our T30 and T43) no longer detects oustanding updates even though several are suggested for both machines. Has SI been decommissioned?
