T20 wont turn on After shut down, Unbootable partition?

#1 Post by jamerslong » Tue Aug 28, 2007 6:18 pm

ok this one is interesting, I have here a T20 that when off and plugged into an ac adapter while off it powers on just fine.
But if i shut it down while plugged in it wont turn back on unless I unplug the AC adapter first.

I also get an Unbootable disc volume error from win Xp every now and then and when i get the error the PC reboots before i get a chance to read it in detail. after it reboots if i turn it off then turn it on it goes away most of the time but it wont go away unless i turn it off and then back on again.

any suggestions are welcome, i am going to remove the Mini PCI card that i put in tonight and see if that helps any.

To stop the auto restart to see the error - Right Click "My Computer" - click properties - click advanced - click startup/recovery "settings" button - uncheck system failure- automatically restart box - click ok - click ok.
