1-3-3-1 Beep codes on a T23
I have this T23 that I am working on that has a 1-3-3-1 beep error, which is normally the ram. I have tried several sticks of ram, which doesn't solve the problem, so it points to the system board (according to the HMM).
Is any one (including Ray) familiar with what I might need to look at on the systemboard to possibly resolder?

A magnifying glass and a good light. Take a close look at the pins on the bottom of the SODIMM sockets. Make sure each and every one of them is attached to the motherboard and that there is nothing wedged in between them (which if conductive, can short out signals). If that visual inspection yields nothing amiss, then there might be something loose (or missing) from the motherboard. You could try my favorite trick of tweaking the front left corner (up one time and then down the next time you power up) to see if that helps.
I'd assume that you have already verified all of the modules you tried in another system as being good, yes?

I had a flaky PCI modem/LAN card that would do strange things in my T21...like beep RAM codes. Out of desparation, I removed it, and found the problem. Reseating sort of fixed it for a while, but Chan_man had a spare and I ended up replacing it.
Common sense to some of us is unfortunately the higher education others strive to attain.
