Hello everyone,
I am attempting to backup my thinkpad hd using the built in IBM rapid restore program. The existing HD is noisy and a bit slow. I want to replace it with a newer bigger one. My thinkpad came with xp installed on the partition, and I need to reinstall onto a new hard drive.
My question is, does anyone have any advice or experience with rapid restore? After I install the new hard drive is it a matter of putting in the first of several cd's I made using rapid restore? Also, does this backup everything or just the OS and thinkpad stuff?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
