T30, original 40 gig HD, ran fine, took it out and imaged it thru a USB adapter to a spare hard drive on one of my SUSE10 machines. Then imaged that file back to the new 80 gid hitachi. Would not boot, put original back in and that would not boot, still have my files on the desktop suse machine, soooooo.
Put the 80gig in and then put a FC7 DVD in the drive, NO go, won't boot, is there an issue with using a DVD +R in these, should I be using -R's ?.
I'm in the process of doing a complete restore from the 3 recovery cd's as I type this, I do want to get FC7 in. I booted from a normal XP and deleted the IBM partitions and recreated one 40 and one 36 gig so I am assuming the ibm restore is putting XP on first one, won't know till it reboots when it's done.
This is not how I wanted to spend my saturday...

Darn, it took the whole disc. OK, any good way to resize ? I want 38gig back for FC.
I alway try to go that extra mile at work, problem is the boss always finds me and brings me back
