T30 series Mods

Hey everybody I have a light question for those of you that modify notebooks swap out parts etc....

I like my T30 (type2366) but this particular model does not have a touchpad ... I alternate between this model and an old gateway solo 5150 using linux....... I'd use the thinkpad more if I could add a touchpad.. Can a touch be added (by changing the palmrest or something)?????

The trackpoint is not bad ... but Im used to operating touchpads... I once used a serial touchpad on an old desktop I had ....

thanx for the reply Its a lil confusing reading that chart ...The doesnt clearly tell if the palmrest are interchangeable between units..
