Hard drive for T30 ultranav caddy

#1 Post by karunnt » Fri Jan 11, 2008 3:36 pm

Hi,

I bought a hard drive caddy for my T30 - the kind that fits into the Ultranav bay.

What are some good hard drives (40GB and up) to use with this?

Thanks.

Anything that will physically fit will do. Make sure that the exposed electronics is protected with a piece of paper or some other material (as insulation) to isolate the circuit board from the metal tray.

Just cut something to fit and place it on the tray bottom, then -gently- slip the drive into the bay.

Get a 2.5" HD with PATA/IDE interface, 12mm high is the norm for that T30.
Seagate Momentus in various sizes
Hitachi 7K100, 7200rpm, 100GB is very popular
Samsung Spinpoint in various sizes
Don't buy Toshiba
