lcd-less display?

#1 Post by AllTPedOut » Wed Jan 30, 2008 10:29 pm

Greetings,

I was wondering if it was possible to power on a thinkpad that is currently missing it's lcd but has an external monitor attached to the video port. I'm not sure it would even get past the POST, but thought it was worth asking :)

Thanks!

You should be able to as I do once in a while. I test boards this way - plug a monitor, power supply, keyboard plus stick of memory on those that do not have built-in memory (no need for the TP 600 series) to the bare board and---bingo!
