Resource Conflict - Allocation error static node #00

#1 Post by HayLo » Fri Feb 15, 2008 5:31 pm

Hello, i have an IBM T23. Type 2648-EU2

I originally had a power issue. The power would turn off after a few seconds, screen would not light up at all.. You would hear the initial Post Beep. That's it.

Took it apart, reset all cables/HD/Mini-pci cards, ram, and then reset CPU.

It fires up now. BUT>

Resource Conflict - Allocation error static node #00

I left all the nic/modem/hd.. unplugged, no change.

Removed the cmos battery for a minute, reset date, but no change.

Loaded Defaults F9, no change.

You go into bios, i don't see a Reset DMI setting or resources.

And to be honest, not sure why i would have to assign specific device irq's.

Running out of ideas at this point. Any ideas would be apreciated.

Welcome to the Forum.
Yours may be a RAM problem or a faulty IDE interface.

Get PC-Doctor from here for diskette version or here for an .ISO image
You download the 3 .exe files to make bootable diskettes or the CD .ISO image and burn it onto a CD.

Download Memtest86+ here http://www.memtest.org/ and run it first on 1 stick, then the other, then on both.

Does it with out HD plugged in, and HD interface soldier is tight.

Ram, swapped, so that rules out that as well. (ram sockets are fine).

I've had this error in past, usually it's the incomputable network card.

This is different, since it can't be cleared by using f9 defaults. And it originally had a power circuit.

However, it's an ibm error code, means that i can't get a boot order (f10) so upgrading bios, or doing ram test is out of the question.

I think it has to be component level at this point. (my guess is past the power circuit).

I guess my question really is what does that error code mean officially.

I have the ibm error code sheet, it's not on it.

PS, thanks, glad i ran into your site, since i work on Lenovo's all day long, I'm sure you'll see me around.

Remove the CMOS battery again and measure the voltage. If it's below 2.8V or so, I'd stick a fresh one in there. Searching back through the archives, I found this:

Maybe that thread might help...
