Memory type for T30?

I need a 1 Gb memory chip for my T30 2366-87U computer. The specs call for PC2100, but I think PC2700 also works. If it is a 200 pin Sodimm, will the newer DDR2 PC PC4200 and PC5300 also work OK?

What are my choices? Also, I might ask if a 2 gb chip would also work? I have a bad second memory slot and I know 1 Gb works in the good slot, but I have heard the T30 will also accept 2 Gb. I've upgraded to the latest BIOS.

PC2700 will work. I would make sure that it is also a CL2.5 spec module. The new DDR2 stuff will NOT work.

Also, I believe that the T30 will accept a total of 2GB, generally two 1GB modules. If you know you have a bad memory slot AND can obtain a 2GB DDR SODIMM stick which can be returned IF it doesn't work, then yes, I'd give it a try. For sure, a 1GB module will work.

I was able to find a 1 Gb PC2100 CL2.5 chip on ebay for $40, so I snatched it up.
