Will a Celeron processor work in a T23?

#1 Post by dmata10 » Sun Mar 09, 2008 12:53 pm

Will a Celeron 1.3 MHz SL86L work in a T23? Everything points to it will. The power comsumption is lower, the temp. range is lower but the performance is much higher than a SL5CL. The specs for each processor are below.

SL5CL
http://processorfinder.intel.com/detail ... Spec=SL5CL

SL86L

Thanks.

No it won't work. You need processors with a 133MHz bus speed.

I am fairly certainly that the 1.2GHz PIII is the fastest CPU for the T23.

Different socket. It won't even go in.

Fastest CPU that works on T23 is 1.26 GHz, arguably 1.33 butI haven't seen it in action, only some urban legends telling it.

I've seen one 1.33 PIII on ebay, but the asking price was over 100usd
