LCD Screen Swap t-23 to a T30

#1 Post by netsniper99 » Wed May 07, 2008 5:14 pm

Last week I dropped my T30 and now the LCD screen backlight functions, and responds to the dimmer/brighten function, but no image displays. The unit will output via S-Video. I've ensured the video cable is firmly seated.
From what I can tell in other posts, it sounds like my LCD might need to be replaced. I've found a used t-23 (2647-4EA) for sale at a reasonable price. Will I be able to swap that LCD out into my T-30 (2367-RU1)

Welcome to the forum!

No, you won't be able to stick the T23 LCD into the T30. The connectors, as well as the placement of the LCD connector is different between those models...

You could try and borrow another T30, and swap screens temporarily, but you'd probably get the same result: no images.
Also check with an external monitor.
If that works, then the drop caused the graphics board to become loose or unstuck.
Look for user jamiphar in the Market forum. He can repair that for you.

Actually, now that you mention it...did you check BOTH ends of the LCD cable?
