BatteriesPlus CMOS Battery

#1 Post by Peter_Peril » Sun May 11, 2008 9:47 pm

My CMOS battery was giving me the blues recently. Noob that I am I started looking at the Marketplace and Ebay for sources to replace it. :x

Then it dawned on me that Batteries+Plus should have one, it just a couple of CR2032 Coin Cells with a pigtail connector. Sure enough the tech rigged one up, shrink wrapped the package for bonding and insulation, tested the voltage and sent me on my way.

Works great and compared to etail shipping cost... a real bargain. If you ever need a CMOS battery search for a location near you.

If you don't mind me asking...what did they charge you for it?

Not counting the 3 mile round trip drive to the store...The price was $4.99 + Tax. I've seen them on ebay for a buck (not including shipping); but I dislike having to wait for something so small to come in the mail. Unlike my Tax Refund.
