T23 and Vista

#1 Post by Msmax » Mon May 26, 2008 10:27 am

Anyone tried Vista on a T23?

Is a driver available for the graphics?

Thanks, Msmax

I used to have a T23 and I ran Vista on until I gave the computer to a friend (who's using the computer with that same install of Vista). For the hardware I couldn't get a Vista driver for, I forced the old XP/2000 dirvers.

As for how well the OS ran, it was actually pretty good. The T23 had 1gb RAM, a 120gb hard drive and 1.13ghz cpu and Vista ran pretty snappy.

How did you install the XP drivers on Vista.

It really runs pretty good, only the video drivers...

Thanks, Msmax

You won't find T23 video drivers for Vista because it is not supported...in MS's opinion (as well as in my own) running Vista on a T23 is a no-go...

I actually had Vista running on a T21, it wasn't too bad, but it was a little slow. You won't get Aero, but if you're fine with the Vista basic scheme, then you'll be fine. My recommendation is to dual-boot XP and Vista, just in case you change your mind. Judging from how Vista ran on my T21, you should be fine on a T23.
