T20 no boot...

#1 Post by ENicolas1985 » Mon Jun 09, 2008 9:42 am

so ive had my T20 for a while now, and recently it just stopped working. im predicting its the mobo but i need help what is the probable cause.

when it's plugged in, the light for the battery turns on. but when i press on the power button nothing happens.

i have some files i wanted to keep also. is there anyway to recover it?

and does that sound like the mobo or could it simply be the battery. i need so save some money so its going to take a little time to buy what i might need.

thanks in advanced!!!

You can take the hard disk out, and connect it to another PC using either a 2.5" USB enclosure or a 2.5"-3.5" adapter going to a PC's IDE cable.
You can then get all your files off, provided you have not put any password on it.

I was wondering if topic # 48835 was the one I suspected it was, and sure enough, it was :!:

If that one don't scare you, nothing will.

hey all!! thanks for the advice.

actually one of my friends told me to take the battery out and hold the power button for 10 seconds. then plug it in with no battery and see if that works..

amazingly it did, and now it even works with the battery in and not plugged into the wall.

what causes that to happen?

and will it happen again?

I would not be at all be surprised if it happens again. It is a symptom of the BoD. For your sake, I hope I'm wrong.
