HELP T23 pcmcia wireless card

Hi to the group, I'm desperate looking for some logical explanation at least to me, I have a thinkpad T23 without the integrated wireless card, everything runs great but I want to install a wireless card on it (D-Link) there is no way to get it working, winXP is fresh installed with sp2 and it recognize the card without problem, when I use the D-Link Cd to installed averything goes fine until the last step where the wizard says that it does not find any wireless card. When I go to see the card on the Device Manager it said that there is a Code 12 error (Not Available Resources), I had google it but I cannot find the right answer, even if I disable devices from the BIOS I keep getting this error. The card is in perfect condition I already test it in a Thinkpad A21p. Any ideas?????? Please.....
I also play with other devices enabling and disabling in order to free some resources but still the yellow exclamation sign with code 12 is there.
If someone can help me I will really appreciate it, maybe I missing something like a neccesary BIOS update I don't know.

Have you tried both PCMCIA slots?
Have you followed instructions, such as e.g. install drivers first before you install the card?
Any errors in your System event log?
Have you tried other card(s) before? If so, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/147797

Yes I tried both slots with no success, with XP just installed I put the CD and install the drivers and then insert the card when the wizard ask me to do it, but again without success. I haven't check the system log, that's something that I have to do.
I tried also another pcmcia card and the same problem shows. The miscrosoft link you suggested does not apply in this case because when I remove the device it remove completly without problems.

Check in your BIOS and (temporarily) remove Serial and Parallel ports, and Infrared. Check that PCI has all interrupt 11 set.
Make sure USB is set to enabled.
Have you got all the proper updates from IBM/Lenovo?
Latest BIOS 1.20 and Embedded Controller 1.06a?

I disabled the serial, parallel and infrared ports without success, but I didn't try the USB I might have to try this one too, and I'm going to check the BIOS version, I don't like to play with the BIOS but I guess in this case there is no other way to do it. I will post later today the results lets cross the fingers.

Have you tried downloading a fresh set of the drivers from D-Link?

What about SP2 ? Do you have this installed. WiFi support was improved when I installed this a while back.

I have the D-Link wireless G 650 for my T23. I gave up on windows XP pro SP 3 wireless configuration utilities and let G 650 software with latest updates configuration utility handle it. You have to disable windows wireless configuration and I said good riddance. I should warn you I not that savvy but I have a ton of patience and tried most everything before going this route. With G 650 utility I still sometimes have to reconnect between sessions on my home router and don't understand it yet but am looking at some ideas. Good luck.

I have D-Link wireless G 630 for my T22 Windows 2000 SP4 and let Windows configure wireless connection and have had no problems whatsoever. I haven't tried the G 630 and software in my T23 XP pro Sp3 but maybe I'm onto something.
