Do the 14.1" and 13.3" T20 have different motherboards?

No. The only difference is LCD bezel/lid assembly.

But doesnt the base itself have to be a different size, to accomodate the smaller bezel

Thanks AK

Actually, there are two different FRUs for the motherboard in a T20, but it's not because of the screen size. 12P3360 is used in the 650Mhz and 700Mhz systems and 12P3363 is used with the 750Mhz versions. While it appears to be true that the 12P3363 systems only came with the 14.1" XGA screen (T20s with 2647-5xx, 9xx and Lxx type numbers), the 12P3360 systems shipped with both the 14.1" and 13.3" screens.

The bases of the T20s also differ with the xxK and xxT types; the "K" I believe is for Korean systems; don't know what the "T" is about. The "K" systems have different badging (basically an LG sticker) and I would assume that the "T" has something similar. But the screen bezel is just wider for the 13.3" LCD panels. The lid assembly is the same overall size.

Information is from the T2x Hardware Maintenance Manual.
