You can try re-flashing the EEPROM...got nothing to lose there.

Unfortunately, I can't walk you through this, but I'm certain someone else will...

Good luck.

Most often, a 0175 CRC1 error, is not the root cause of an error. It is a follow on error.
This means, that once you have got rid of the 175 error you will also have the original error to deal with.
175 errors are them selves caused by a power off occurring in an uncontrolled way, thereby preventing an update
to the EEPROM to complete normally. The uncontrolled power off will be caused by the first (original/root cause) error.

The latest bios version will fix 175 errors automatically. But this does not help those with older bios versions, as
there is no way of doing a bios upgrade once the 175 has arrived.

No, not the BIOS, but the eeprom in which the system Serial #, the System TYPE and the motherboard Serial # are stored, amongst other things.
It's probably easier to buy a used mobo here (Market forum) or on eBay.

^^Great.

Its not that I am a pauper, but I would like to have a crack at fixing this motherboard.

Can any of you guys give me some more detail on how to flash the EEPROM? I did a search, but it came up empty

Thanks a bunch!
