T23 need to replace hard drive

#1 Post by thecoop » Sat Jun 28, 2008 8:49 am

I am going to put in a bigger hard drive than the old one. It died. Is there anything special, other than the drivers from the IBM page, that I need to do to get it to recognize the new drive. I understand I will install XP Pro on it so I know I have to boot with the CD. I do not have access to restore CDs. Thanks in advance.

The T23 will handle the largest 2.5" PATA hard drive available, which is 250GB (I think). You shouldn't need any drivers, but you might need to update your BIOS, but I can't really remember on that one.

If you need T23 XP Pro recovery disks, lmk.
