Battery Icon

#1 Post by ArtShapiro » Sat Oct 04, 2008 5:17 pm

I somehow managed to close the Battery Percentage icon on my T23 - the icon down there near the tray on the lower right.

To my embarrassment, I can't seem to restore it. I tried reinstalling the Lenovo Power Management software without success. Nothing was obvious from the Thinkvantage manager.

Can anyone steer me in the right direction? This is an XP Pro machine.

Run the Battery MaxiMiser Wizard from the WinXP Start>All Programs menu. Click the Next button which will bring you to the Step 1 screen. Without changing any settings, keep clicking the Next button until you get to step 3. There, you should see a check box near the bottom that says "Show Battery MaxiMiser Guage on Taskbar." Check the box and keep clicking the Next button until you reach the last step, then click Finish.

Much appreciated...I had been looking for the Wizard, and finally found it under Access IBM, rather than Thinkvantage or any of the other obvious possibilities. Worked like a champ.

It was under Access IBM on mine too, but when I first replied to your post, I couldn't remember if that was the installation default or if I had created a unique Start Menu folder.

Glad you found it and it worked for you.
