#1 Post by DComander1 » Fri Nov 21, 2008 3:46 pm

im thinking of upgrading my IBM Thinkpad T30 to a 3 or 3.2Ghz P4 socket 478 with hyper threading, or a Pentium M at 2 Ghz, can this be done by either getting a bios hack, or by using the latest bios lenovo offers, and can i run a ssd (solid state disk) in my T30 and one last thing, can i upgrade the screen to a newer one with newer tech? please reply and thanx if anyone does

Nop.

You can upgrade it to a T30 SXGA+ screen that's the best you can get.

Docks (2631-020) or mini-docks can be found on eBay from ca. $15.- + shipping.

Any 2.5" HD with ATA/IDE interface will fit. SATA will NOT.

Ok, thanks, and by the way, any where else other then Ebay, that i can find a dock? I don't trust ebay much, since scammers are rampant on it, and i also had a bad experience with ebay and a 10GB IDE Desktop hard drive.

i have found a million Celeron Ds at 2.8 Ghz using the 400mhz FSB and socket 478 on Ebay, is it possible to use them, or is the BIOS locked at a specific clock speed? please reply, and thanx to those who do.
