There is a thin vertical white line going from the top to bottom of the LCD. The white line is about 1/8 inch thick (maybe a bit smaller) and is located about 1.5 inches from the right hand side edge.
I have checked out the archives re. possible causes :
- system board video issue
- LCD flex cable
- LCD display
I checked out the T23 using an external monitor and the display is perfect.
I have a 570 with an LCD flex cable problem - this causes intermitant flickering due I guess to a poorly seated cable - with a bit of careful pressing to the lid , the display is restored - one day I will reseat the cable
When you look carefully at the white line , there is also some yellow and reddish partial lines within the thicker white line.
When the white line passes through an images eg. on the tool bar , you can see a very weak partial image within the white line if you look carefully.
Any thoughts? I'm guessing its an actual LCD problem rather than the flex cable. Is there any fix? Any idea what causes the problem?
Thanks
