Atheros card issue?

#1 Post by one_jerry » Sun Dec 21, 2008 2:02 pm

I just swapped the combined modem/wireless card for an Atheros mini PCI card. I uninstalled the driver for the 'high rate wireless' and the modem, powered down, removed the card, installed the Atheros card, powered up, to install the Atheros driver and software. Upon power up I got a message saying two eathernet cards had been detected, press 'esc' to continue. I pressed escape and continued to windows XP (a fresh install), installed the drivers which process ends with a reboot. Again I got the same message on boot up. It does work as i'm typing on it now and it is linked 'wirelessly' to my home network. BTW This is a T23 (2647 4NU) with the latest Bios and embedded controller software. The questions are: Is this normal and must I live with it? Is there a cure?
Thanks
Thanks
Jerry

Ron,
The download link gives a 404, not found error, is the patch still availble somewhere else?
Thanks

Ron,
Sorry there is a good link near the bottom of the thread, I just didn't read far enough.
And it WORKS, no more 1c9 error.
THANK YOU!
Jerry
