T23 battery problem?

Good evening all, Happy Christmas to all - I've got a T23 that doesn't get used regularly, i've switched it on today after about 3 months, and the battery doesn't appear to be charging - lights are on OK, meter says 85% charged, but XP says "On AC Power", and doesn't appear to be charging, but works fine on mains - any ideas?

I had the same problem, battery info said my battery was in good condition yet my battery would not charge beyond 84%. Found out the power cord was making a bad connection at the power adapter. I spread the pins, now my 4 year old battery fully charges to 100%.
