viewing windows media player on tv out

#1 Post by winslow » Sat Jan 10, 2009 10:43 pm

trying to view video thru the tv out (s-video) port. the video won't play on the tv. I cannot set the screen resolution below 800x600 as that is the lowest setting in the options.

I previosly was able to di it on one of my t23"s but now cannot seem to get it to play on either my t23"s or my T30. Do I need a different player (Windows Media Player) or program other than the presentation director?

Best is to use a port replicator and a DVI to HDMI cable interfacing to the TV. The Windows Display Properties should allow you to set the TV resolution independent of PD.

I am unsure of how to do this, but I know on newer systems you set the overlay mode to the TV, the video will show on the TV but no the laptop screen.

On older systems you had to choose to extend the desktop if I am not mistaken.
