Have you installed all the drivers from IBM/Lenovo?
Can you try another keyboard?

How/why did it stop working in the first place, did you freshly install your HD, or what?

sounds to me like your trackpoint could be dead, although you haven't gotten any errors on boot for it.

I would try checking all of your mouse settings and reinstalling your drivers.
then i would try a different keyboard if possible

You should also verify if the BIOS setting for the mouse (TrackPoint) has been set to "disabled". Power up the system and press the F1 key when indicated. The "Config" option should be highlighted; press the Enter key to access that sub-menu. Use the arrow keys to highlight the "Keyboard/Mouse" option and press the Enter key again. The TrackPoint setting will show "Disabled", "Enabled" or "AutoDisable". The first two settings are self-explanatory; the "AutoDisable" option means that the TrackPoint will be active unless an external mouse has been plugged in.

Yeah, bios setting is set to auto disable, but have tried very combination.Have ordered a tested know working keyboard from Ebay. Will post up if that works. I also have problems with a ps/2 mouse, it does not stay in place properly, have to hold it in place. However I have not used a ps/2 mouse as it always loses connection so i dont know if that port works either. I love the track point. I have t30 too. Will that key board fit for testing purposes. I DONT WAT TO REMOVE IT IF ITS A KNOWN no no

A T30 keyboard does NOT fit in a T20/21/22/23.
