T21's are excellent! Which model is better and easy as this?

#1 Post by elportugues » Sun Feb 15, 2009 9:10 am

I am very delighted with the T21's that I have. Bought many thru E-Bay and sell some of them.
I would like to buy parts for another model and have the same experience as the T21's for repair and fixed! Which model (IBM Thinkpads) might be as good as this one, with faster speed?
Thanks,

Next step up would be the T23, which has faster CPUs (1.00, 1.13 and 1.20 GHz, running at a (faster) front bus speed of 133.
(the T20/21/22 run at FSB 100).
They take twice the amount of RAM, 2x 512MB = 1GB, but this also runs at a higher speed, PC133 (T20/1/2 at PC100).
Both RAM and CPU are NOT interchangeable.
T23 have a slightly different base, with 2 USB ports and a different keyboard bezel (palmrest).
They also have different mobos.
A T23 requires a 72W 16V 4.5A power supply.
Screens, keyboards, hard disks, CD/DVD etc. are all the same for each T2x.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
