best tx model for hot weather

#1 Post by retired » Wed Mar 04, 2009 1:06 pm

I just bought a clean t20 to use in costa rica for email, surfing and skype. I grabbed this model as I thought it would run cooler than something more powerful like a t23. It gets REALLY warm in c.r . So did I use my head this time or could I have done better?

In my experience, T2x series ThinkPads run very cool and quiet. You may run into problems with the extreme humidity in Costa Rica adversely affecting the magnesium in the LCD lid.
