remove T23 Trackpoint buttons

#1 Post by zmyx » Tue Mar 10, 2009 4:36 pm

How can I safely remove the Trackpoint button out from the keyboard? Once such a button fell out from my R51 and I put it back in but now that I want to remove it from a T23 keyboard I just can't do it. I remember that the plastic part that hold the button is also fragile (at least for the R51). So if anyone knows how to remove it properly please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

If you are talking about the rubber cap on top of the actual Trackpoint control then it's a simple matter of grabbing it with your fingertips and pulling straight up. If you are talking about the three "mouse" buttons, then have a look at this:

I've taken apart these mouse buttons several times using a small screwdriver and without causing any damage (so far; knock on wood).
