Playing recorded-from-TV DVDs

#1 Post by newyorkpaulie » Mon Mar 16, 2009 2:15 pm

I am using cdvdplay.exe (Mediamatics) with WinXP PRO on my T23.

Commercial DVDs play fine, but ones that I have recorded from TV airings do not. I get an error message that reads: "Key exchange for copy protection failed." These are movies that are being shown on TCM for instance.

Anyone know of a fix? They play fine on my DVD player, but not on my TPad. I can get them to play using Real Player, but cdvdplay is so much better.
