no ethernet driver

#1 Post by bobgra001 » Tue Mar 24, 2009 5:47 pm

I have a T22 thinkpad type 2647 and installed more memory and Win 2000 upon reboot i lost all the drivers for the Ethernet card and can't connect to the internet. I went to the official site for Lenovo and tried all the driver downloads. I am not sure which combo card is installed in this computer and don't have the original install CD for the system. Can someone please help!!!!!

Welcome to thinkpads.com!

The T22 uses two different ethernet cards. The easiest thing to do is to open up the "other panel" on the bottom of the system (i.e., not the memory panel). There should be a MiniPCI card in there. You may have to remove the card and check both sides of the card to see what it is. The T22 (and T23) drivers are located here:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... MIGR-57669

Scroll down the left column for the 3Com or Intel Mini PCI combo driver packages ; ignore any entry that says "daughter card" as those are for the T23. Download the file, execute it and it will create folder(s) on your hard drive. Follow the instructions provided on the download link page and that should be it.
