That cable should go to the BT antenna, mounted over the CPU-fan outlet. # 16 on page 139.

2 different cables RBS
One is clearly the antenna wire
The other appears to be for 3 or 4 wire power?

Yup, thats the modem or blue tooth cable. Look at page# 139 item "a". The connecter fits modem or blue tooth card, just verified it on a blue tooth equiped T30 by grabbing a xtra modem and trying it. Guessing its the power cable as its a 2 wire red/black. Only accessible by removing the system board, it lies in a groove under system board, then runs thru black plastic cable router to plug into input/output board, then plugs into system board, 3 plugs on it. As for the factory blue tooth anntenna, dont know if its clipped or soldered onto the "blue tooth louver", the metal part above the fan exhaust port. Looking at it from the outside I can see the antenna wire going to a small square piece of metal directly below the horizontal piece of metal that runs across the top of the exhaust port. Dont know if they are connected there or not.

If your refering to the 3 connector power cable, every T30 should have 1 installed, perhaps the loose cable end with connector was pushed back between the system board and base so it wouldn't get caught in fan. The blue tooth antenna and associated blue tooth louver would be model specific, dont know if antenna cable end is clipped or soldered on where end is visible at exhaust port, perhaps all you need is a antenna wire and the origonal metal bracket(blue tooth louver?) mounted above the exhaust port will work. Suggest search for actual pictures ebay, google, yahoo, etc. I remember seeing some good info on the various b.t. cards on Ebay, go to Buy>Reviews&Guides>IBM Thinkpad Bluetooth Buying Guide. I've never used the b.t. on this T30, supposedly the origonal card wont support any "human interface devices" like a mouse, have UltraNav, so no loss. If you get it up and working please update info on the card your using, the antenna cable, and what your using it for. I'm interested and maybe I'll find a use for it also. Also, be aware that Windows Update or maybe it was Thinkvantage System Update adds additional capabilities over what was origonaly loaded on these machines. I haven't explored the hardware or software use at all.

The top picture on P75 is the last picture in the Modem section. BT section starts just below that. The view for BT and connector is bottom picture on P76.

BDC01 (Bluetooth Daughter Card) has three connectors, the system connector, antenna connector and a 3 pin connector. I never found any use for that 3 pin connector.

BMDC200/BMDC300 (Bluetooth Modem Daughter Card) used in T4x/X4x has three connectors also. That third connector is a two pin for modem function.
