Best way to transfer disc info to a new PC

I just got a T30 and want to transfer my disc info. I have been using my T23. I tried just swapping the HD, but I get "Operating System Not Found". Would a restore work? I have backups on the hard drive in my docking station and use Acronis.

No, the hardware from a T23 and T30 are too different.
You'd need either to reinstall from scratch if you have your own Windows CD, or use a set of T30 XP-Pro Restore disks.

The T30 came with the originally installed WinXP Pro intact. Guess I just have to get busy and work with this... reloading everything I need. No easy shortcuts I guess. Thanks!

Well oddly enough when I tried this again it worked! Somehow the second time it recognized the OS on the T23 hard drive and now all is well. I have restore discs for the T23 but not the T30 so I should probably try and get a set just in case. Thanks!
