T22 LAN driver /stumped
Hi,
Spent a good part of the night trying to figure this out but still no luck. Anyway, I'm fixing up an T22 for some older folks to use but it has the PXE-E05 error. Win XP also seems to list the device as Intel 8255x which there is a driver error for. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the driver downloaded from Lenovo but it gives an error. I've also tried the Intel boot agent from Lenovo but it gives me a bad sum check error doing so under the network address listing so it wouldn't reflash it. I've updated the BIOS to the latest one and this is on a clean install of XP. Any ideas left?

Replace the MiniPCI ethernet card and see if that helps.

Guess I'll be trying that next. How easy is this thing to take apart? I've never actually taken a laptop apart aside from ram/hdd upgrades.
On a bit of a side note, this thing feels so solid, I don't think my x200 will ever live to this t22's age. Just WOW!

Download a copy of the T2 Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM):
http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... IGR-4UYM3F
(once it becomes available again.... seems like there's a site maintenance going on at the moment) The MiniPCI card is the easiest to deal with. It is located behind the smaller of the two panels on the bottom of the system (to the left of the large IBM label). Remove the panel and spread the two metal clips on either side of the card outward and the card should pop up slightly. Pull off the connectors (one if only a modem card; two if it's the modem/ethernet combo card) and slide the card out of the socket.
The HMM contains all of the instructions you would need to completely disassemble the system, along with some important information and troubleshooting guides.

Re: T22 LAN driver /stumped
There are three or four potential cards for T22: 3Com, intel Pro/100, intel Pro/100 SP and lastly intel/Xircom card. The last one was not shipped with T22 but could be installed later (may have come from A20). So you may have to take a look at what you got. It is under the door above the barcode. 3Com, intel Pro/100, intel Pro/100 SP are marked but intel/Xicrom card may not be marked.

Re: T22 LAN driver /stumped
I installed a 3Com 09N9774 in my T21 back in 2006 that has worked fine.

Thanks for all the help, I'll be taking a look at it as soon as I get the time this weekend. I'll be sure to post back with my findings.
