Strange thing on lcd

#1 Post by ginopilotino » Thu Nov 19, 2009 5:11 am

Lcd of my T30 2366-88g seems to have a slow response time. When i bootup and the IBM logo disappear, i can see something like a ghost image of the logo. The same thing when i use windows and I move mouse cursor on the screen. I got a ghost pointer. It happen mostly on dark wallpapers.
Is that a common defect?

Try running the PC dDr tests for you video. See what it says then report back. If you have a failing LCD it will definately tell you. Maybe reseat your ram, download the Hardware Maint manual and see if you can follow the procedure for checking your cables.

Isn't the IBM logo supposed to disappear after a few seconds? I know on my t30 it did.

Did you accidently enable pointer trails in the "mouse" settings in control panel?

Tested everything with pcdoctor, everything ok.
Now i have reinstalled xp and noting happen, my lcd works fine. I don't now why, probably it was due to the display driver that put vga cart into some kind of energy saving mode or something like that.
