Speaker click on POWER ON and also clicks on POWER OFF
I've just gotten a T23 via eBay. It has a keypad from a T20. When I press the power on button, the speakers make a 1/4 second crack and do the same thing when pressing this button to power off. I've tried swapping the keypad with a T21 pad that I have and still get the lout "click" from the speakers at power on/off.
Any thoughts on whether this is likely a motherboard issue, or perhaps there is something specific to a T23 that requires a T23 keypad...anything else?
Other than this the machine seems fine.
TIA for thoughts and ideas.

I think that all of the T23 systems that I have had exhibit this "thump" at turn on. It's gotten to the point where I don't really notice it any more. Changing the keyboard (there really isn't any "T23" keyboard as it can be used on any T2x system) or the motherboard will not help.

I've always considered it a harmless quirk of that model. Both my T-22 and T-23s produce a similar crack or thump when powered up or shut down. I've always attributed the noise to the speakers being activated when the board is energized. Although it can be annoying at first, eventually you won't even notice it like Ray stated.

I have about 15 T23s and I've never even noticed it...

Mine (a T22) does it too and I can say it's volume dependent. E.g. if you had speakers playing on full blast, the thump will be noticeable. If the volume was low, then it won't be
760ED -> 600X -> T22 -> T41 -> T42 -> T60
