Some docking station help.

#1 Post by newyorkpaulie » Thu Mar 25, 2010 9:11 am

I have a docking station that accepts an ultraport 2000 external drive. What is the correct procedure if I want to remove the drive and insert another one while my OS is up and running? I use both WinXP and Linux from a dualboot.

I'm not sure if docking station items are hot-swappable, probably not!
But if so, rightclick on the Remove Hardware symbol (green arrow) in the System Tray and pick the device you want to remove.
