T30 Takes alot of time to boot after CMOS clear

#1 Post by konstantin.neo2 » Sun Apr 25, 2010 3:02 pm

Every time I remove the little battery and the bios is cleared, this T30 take a while to get to F12 screen.
After cmos clear I go to F1 first and set time and date and some other bits, I am not sure about what is the required thing to do but in my case after I set up the bios options the computer wont boot and sit there with the F1 F12 options. If I hit F12 it take a while to get into the boot menu, like 1 minute.
Is this the usual behavior of a T30?

I am not sure if you are are having a problem or not by your description. It is normal for a laptop to take awhile to boot if the CMOS battery is replaced and the date/time is set. This usually lasts for the first boot after the battery is replaced, then back to normal.
