My T23 won't boot up

I was defraging my Hard drive and had to leave my apartment, when I returned my thinkpad was hibernating, I turned it off at the power button, but now it will not boot up. I have a rescue disk in my floppy drive but that isn't helping. I need to know what I can do. Its a thinkpad T23 running 2000pro

I think we're going to need some more information about the status of your system...

- Are any of the LEDs next to the power button on when you attempt to turn the system on?
- If you have an AC adapter connected, does the LED on the right hinge light up?
- Do you see the IBM "splash" screen when the system is turned on?
- Does the system issue any beeps, and if so, what are the numbers and pauses? For example, 1-3-3-1 means one short beep, pause, 3 short beeps, pause, 3 more short beeps, pause and then one short beep.
- Is the fan spinning when you turn the system on? If so, does it spin at a constant speed or is it surging (fast and slow)?

Wouldn't he get more help if this was moved to the T2x/T3x forum than the Marketplace?

C'mon, Ray, it was obvious you were so focused on helping the new poster with his problem you didn't even notice what forum it was; you dove right in and worked on his issues. No need for the Mr. Embarrassment icon.

Next move is up to him, though. Not enough description of the symptoms right now.
