t30 language change

#1 Post by ashbury » Wed May 04, 2011 8:37 pm

PLEASE HELP US CHANGE T30'S LANGUAGE

Friend of mine just bought a T30 on Ebay which must have been originally sold in Poland because the default language is in Polish, other than that it is a good clean unit. He turns it on everything works fine,Win XP Pro pops right up but beyond that everything point is in Polish. So, he and I have been trying to get the polish to learn to speak English but it refuses to boot even to the first basics. We tried accessing the language settings in the registry as well as regions and languages in the control panel so here we are asking for your help and suggestions.
This is what we have done so far since I have a working T30 which talks and rocks in English.
1. Plugged HDD into an external USB adapter connected to my computer and ran a format on the HDD
2. Downloaded Acronis true-image home edition into my computer and ran back up on my drive into destination drive which is the formated HDD
We thought that the newly created HDD should work since the two machines are identical, but the new HDD did not work in either t30.

Put the formatted drive into the hard drive bay of the new T30. Take your drive and hook it up to the new T30 via the USB cable. Boot with an Acronic boot disk in the CD drive in the new T30 and clone your drive to the new one.

thanks Harry, but the home trial version of Acronis does not permit cloning. I am waiting for the recovery cd's to try.
