Hi, sorry for my English, and that's my first post.
Recently I bought myself used T61, which is working and doing so pretty well, but have some issues. I'm running Win 7 on this machine, and encountered pproblems. Touchpad works perfectly, but the TrackPoint isn't recognised by the system even after I installed all the drivers. I find this kind of weird, it wasn't functioning on Win 8.1 also, which was on him before I reinstalled the system.
Another problem is Blutetooth. It has 4965AG card, and I don't know if it even can use BT, but when I tried running Ubuntu from LiveUSB, Bluetooth light lit up (though TrackPoint still wasn't working)
Is there something I can do with it witrh my own hands?

Re: TrackPoint and Bluetooth problems on T61
Check the BIOS settings if the Trackpoint is disabled. OTOH it could be a defective Trackpoint module (part of the keyboard).
On the T61, Bluetooth is on a separate module from the WiFi card. IIRC it's located on the lid, below the LCD panel. Open the HMM-Manuals link at the top of the page, just below the site banner, and get the Hardware Maintenance Manual (HMM) for the particular T61 variant you have-- the HMM contains disassembly instructions and parts listing.
On Ubuntu, you can open a terminal windows and run lsusb to list detected USB devices.

Re: TrackPoint and Bluetooth problems on T61
That was the first thing I did, it says "Automatic" and only have the option to turn it off alternatively. I'm starting to judge a keyboard, but will check again after reassemblyaxur-delmeria wrote: ↑Mon Nov 03, 2025 10:20 amCheck the BIOS settings if the Trackpoint is disabled.
AI opened up, and yes, bluetooth card is in place,a s it should be. It's weird that Windows can't see it even with drivers, while Linux can
