T60 windows 7 ultimate no sound?

#1 Post by lemmerdeur » Sat Oct 22, 2011 9:04 pm

Hello,
I just spend 2 days reading and trying but I still have no sound.
I have a T60 2007-73U, Intel core duo CPU T2500, 100gb HD, 3gb Ram that was working fine with Windows XP. I decided to upgrade to windows 7 ultimate 32bit SP1 and did a clean install. I installed all the drivers but the sound never worked. It show the volume, and hardware with no problem. I tried everything I could find on the Net with no success, my T60 is silent. Driver detective show all driver up to date.
It seems to be a driver problem, no internal speaker or external speaker are working.
Any help will be greatly appreciate.

Update: it says in the troubleshooter that the speakers and headphone are turned off in Windows? When I check, they are enable and working?

No much help here but I fixed it by trying everything I found. Installed power manager and hotkeys and the sound work fine now with Windows 7 ultimate with the keys and the mixer.
