T61 14.1 - Upgrade from WXGA to WXGA+

Hi guys,

did anybody tried upgrade T61 14.1 from WXGA (1280x800) to WXGA+ (1440x900) ? Do I need to change LCD cable ? Can I use this LCD ?

It's a straight swap, both use the same LCD cable.
If an LCD does NOT have an IBM/Lenovo P/N or FRU, I wouldn't trust it.
Too many people have been burned by so called 'compatible' screens.
Thinkpads in the T60/T61 series require an EDID chip with certain programming in their LCD electronics.
Most 'compatible' screens do NOT have this chip, and are therefore useless.
Ask exact details (manufacturer, mfg P/N, is EDID chip present, etc.) and decide for yourself.
